Project Description
Out of the total, 20 toilets were provided to underprivileged households of Paiyun Rural Municipality–3, Behulibas, while 5 toilets were handed over in Ward No. 1 and 5 toilets in Ward No. 4.
This project aligns strongly with Rotary International’s Area of Focus on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). Access to safe and dignified sanitation is fundamental to improving public health, preventing waterborne diseases, enhancing personal safety-especially for women and children-and promoting overall community well-being. For marginalized Dalit communities, household toilets also contribute to social dignity, inclusion, and improved quality of life.
By addressing basic sanitation needs at the household level, Rotary continues its commitment to sustainable development, disease prevention, and uplifting underserved communities, reinforcing Rotary’s mission of creating lasting change locally and globally.
