About Rotary Club of Nagarjun
The Rotary Club of Nagarjun (RC Nagarjun) was chartered on 28th January 2004 by a group of distinguished Nepali philanthropists, professionals, entrepreneurs, and retired senior government administrators. RC Nagarjun has dedicated itself to community service in Nepal for the past two decades.
The club now has 30 active members who are a cross-section of Nepal's economic, governmental, and social constituencies. It is also richly supporting three active Rotaract Clubs who collectively have a network of over 400 direct and indirect members. RC Nagarjun holds its regular meeting on every Thursday at 5 PM at Hotel Le Himalaya. With the Areas of Focus laid down by Rotary International (RI), RC Nagarjun has undertaken several impactful service projects, including: A Cholera Vaccination Program in Banke, with RC Seoul, reaching more than 27,000 households.
Installation of over 400 water pumps in Chitwan. Partnering hands with the Nepal Army to be a part of the High Mountain Clean-Up Campaign, collecting over 50 tons of garbage.
Installation of 30 deep drinking water pumps (200 feet) in Sarlahi and Dhanusha Musahar communities, in collaboration with RC Shintoshin, Japan.
With overall project investments exceeding more than USD 325,000, RC Nagarjun has emerged as a "Club of Danbir Karnas," which means it is equivalent to the highest standards of philanthropy, service, and fellowship.
